Exercise is a Good Cure for Arthritis Pain

Arthritis is one such form of illness which can be effectively cured with regular and proper exercises. If one regularly exercises there are high chances that arthritis illness can be cured. Arthritis can be managed efficiently with help of exercise. It helps overcome joint pain and stiffness. And even makes the muscles around the joints stronger, thus increasing the flexibility of the muscles. In brief, it helps one feel much better about one’s body and remain healthier.
One should start slowly and should not be hasty while doing the exercise. One should gradually increase the amount of exercises which he does; this helps the body to get used to the exercise routine. Severe arthritis pain can also cured by doing some exercises in water which helps reduction in hips and knee stress. These water exercises even reduce spine stress. One should do the exercise program which he can handle as well as enjoy. Enjoying the exercise which one does is very important as; if exercises are done for the sake of doing then it might not prove good in curing the illness of arthritis. Regular consultation of the therapist and doctor is equally important and makes sure that one is doing the right things in order to reduce arthritis pain.
Stretching and cardio-vascular exercises are both very important in order to reduce one’s arthritis pain. Both of the above forms of exercises ensure that one increases ones range of motion and also ensure better circulation and flow of blood in ones body thereby strengthens ones heart. Regularly practicing these forms of exercise may be tiring but as it becomes a routine the exercise become all the more beneficial.
Especially in cases of arthritis patients it is seen that strengthening exercises are all the more important as they help in reducing the pain that one faces in his joints due to his illness. Strengthening exercise like weight lifting makes the muscles stronger thereby enabling one to absorb the pain in ones joints. Isometric and isotonic are two forms of strengthening exercises. First one helps in tightening the muscles with less stress on joints whereas the latter form stresses of strengthening of muscle by movement of joints.
Cardio-vascular exercises imply any kind of physical exertion that a person may takes which may be in the form of dancing, cycling, swimming etc. The major reason for doing such form of exercise is the to make ones heart stronger by proper circulation of blood in ones body. This even helps in reduction of weight and increasing the endurance level of a person.
Last but certainly not the last form of exercise i.e. the flexibility or strengthening exercises are the most important for a person who wants to reduce his arthritis pain. These are gentle exercise and very much like a warm-up exercise which help one to reduce his body tension and making it more flexible.
